FUN PROJECTS

I love blending design with other art forms. This page showcases some of my other artistic hobbies, hope you enjoy!

Ceramics

Ceramics has been a passion of mine since high school, where I first started taking classes and learning the fundamentals. Fortunately, I’ve been able to continue honing my skills throughout college. I’m most drawn to working on the wheel, as I love the process of shaping raw clay into functional, everyday pieces like mugs, bowls, and plates. However, I also enjoy pushing the creative boundaries of ceramics by experimenting with different glazing techniques, layering colors and textures to achieve unique finishes. Additionally, I incorporate carved designs into my pieces, adding a personal, handcrafted touch. The hands-on nature of ceramics and the endless possibilities it offers keep me excited to explore and refine my craft.

Drawing

Drawing is where it all began for me. It’s been a constant throughout my life and was the gateway that first sparked my interest in art. Over the years, it’s become more than just a creative outlet, it’s a safe space where I can unwind, reflect, and reconnect with myself. No matter where my artistic journey takes me, drawing is something I’ll always return to. Below are a few of my favorite pieces that hold a special place in that journey.

Crochet

This project was my final piece for Advanced Typography, where the challenge was to think outside the box and create something unique using type. Since I love to crochet in my free time, I saw this as the perfect opportunity to combine my passions.

I chose my favorite verse to feature in the design, with the intention that this blanket would not only provide warmth but also serve as a reminder to wrap yourself in love. This project was a true labor of dedication, taking me around 90 hours to complete.
